Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader,

This magazine is more than pages ....it’s a pulse.

La Ligne Rouge was born from the fire of artistry, rebellion, softness, and sensuality, all wrapped in the need for a space that sees women, femmes, sex workers, creatives, and visionaries as full, powerful beings. I created this not just as a platform, but as a home for stories often untold, performances often hidden, and conversations often whispered in the back rooms of society.

This is our front row seat now.

From the glamour of cabaret stages to the politics of bodies and the sacred in sensuality, every feature, photo, and flicker of light between these pages is curated with intention. We honor the legacy of playboys and provocateurs, yes, but we’re building something more inclusive, more raw, more real.

There’s a heartbeat in these pages that belongs to all of us who were told to dim our light.

Here, we don’t dim....we spotlight.

To everyone who believed in this vision early, thank you. To the muses, the contributors, the dancers, the writers, the survivors, and the curious, this is only the beginning. There’s so much more to come. Stay with me.

With fire, velvet, and love,

Madame Rise Jumeade

Editor-in-Chief
